Donovan Triplett sets two career rushing record at Walled Lake Western

Walled Lake Western’s Donovan Triplett is rewriting the Warriors’ record books this season already setting new career marks in rushing yards and touchdowns just four weeks into his senior season.
Triplett, who’s committed to Western Michigan, has rushed for 4,525 yards so far in his high school career passing former teammate Darius Taylor (3,829 yards). Taylor graduated in 2022 and is currently the leading rusher at the University of Minnesota.
Triplett has also found the endzone more than any other rusher in Walled Lake Western history. His 61 rushing touchdowns broke Dave Johnson’s previous record of 55, which spanned the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Triplett is closing in on the all-time career touchdowns record as well, which Taylor still holds with 70.
