A pair of Walled Lake Central powerlifters claim USPA National Championships

Walled Lake Central junior Addy Wilson and her older brother Austin Wilson took home gold on Day One of the United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) National Championships in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania over the weekend.

Austin, who was the Vikings’ 2021 captain, claimed the national title in both the Junior and Open Raw Divisions in the 100 kg Class. Austin totaled 1575 lbs. with his lifts. He squatted 650 lbs., benched 314 lbs. and deadlifted 611 lbs.

His younger sister, Addy, took home the 16-17 Junior Raw Division title in the 60 kg Class. Abby totaled 616 lbs. with her lifts squatting 209 lbs., benching 115 lbs. and deadlifting 292 lbs.
